ABOUT
Since its opening in 1989, Gallery NOW has held numerous curated exhibitions with a focus on postwar Japanese art, bridging the realms of fine art and craft, tradition and contemporary expression.
We propose "Art in Everyday Life," introducing works that enrich daily living with beauty and inspiration. We hope that these works, cherished today, will be passed down and treasured by future generations.
In addition, in 1998 we established a small adjoining space, the Tatsuoki & Fumio Nambata Memorial Museum, dedicated to honoring the artistic legacy of Tatsuoki Nambata—renowned for his deeply poetic and spiritual abstract paintings—and his son, Fumio Nambata, a brilliant young painter celebrated for his imaginative and colorful expressions.
