Biography
1962 Born in Onada-cho, Tajimi City, Gifu Prefecture, Japan
1979 Completed training at the Tajimi City Design Research Institute
1986 Participated in the excavation and preservation project of the ancient kiln site at Nigahone
1993 Publication of Ceramics Vol.85: Tsubusa Kato by Kyoto Shoin
1996 Exhibited in The Expression of Porcelain: Developments in the 1990s at the National Museum of Modern Art, Tokyo
1999 Delivered slide lectures and conducted workshops at Seoul Institute of Technology, South Korea
2002 Exhibited in 100 Years of Modern Ceramics at the Museum of Modern Ceramic Art, Gifu
2003 Exhibited in The World of White Porcelain and Celadon at the Ibaraki Ceramic Art Museum
2006 Solo exhibition at Dai Ichi Arts, New York
