Yoshinori Tsuchiya

1954 Born in Seki-shi, Gifu
After graduating from Kyoto International College of Arts, Department of Textiles, studied under Fukumi Shimura, an important intangible cultural property, holder of pongee weaving.
2009 Received Medal with Purple Ribbon
2010 Recognized as the holder of Important Intangible Cultural Asset “Monsa”.

1996 President Prize of the Japan Crafts Association, Japan Traditional Crafts Exhibition
