Yoshihiko Takahashi Seeking the Light Saturday, July 29 - Friday, August 11, 2023

Gallery NOW is pleased to present “YoshihikoTakahashi: Seeking Light” from July 29 (Sat) to August 11 (Fri), 2023.
While a student at Tama Art University, YoshihikoTakahashi (b. 1958, Tokyo) was inspired by the “studio glass movement” that was emerging in the U.S. and other countries at the time, and began working from a different perspective than conventional glass art.
His works, created using the air-blown glass technique, make full use of Takahashi’s breath, gravity, and centrifugal force. The shapes created with minimal applied force have a softness and natural form.
In this exhibition, Takahashi will show his new object “Seeking Light” as well as vases, cups, and other vessels.
